NEXT:
This is a transition for our children into their teenage years (Ages 13-17). Next will prepare our teens to be future leaders in their perspective homes, churches, communities, and society at large. This goal will be attained by positioning our teens for success through camps, workshops, and various training exercises. We pray that the result of Next will allow teens to succeed in all aspects of life.
We are inspired by the words Paul spoke to Timothy.
Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work. (2 Timothy 2:21 NKJV)
EXCEL:
Our goal is to have our children (Ages 5-8 & 9-12) stand above the norm and status quo. This will be accomplished by training and teaching our children sound biblical and educational principles that will allow them to Excel on every level. Whether our children are in the classroom or in Sunday service, they will be inspired to be the best. Our theme scripture can be found in Corinthians.
But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness, and in the love we have kindled in you —see that you also excel in this grace of giving. (2 Corinthians 8:7 NIV)
W.E.A.P.O.N.S.
Our Young Adult and College Ministries. It is also an acronym that stands for Warriors Exalting and Praising Overcoming Negative Strongholds.
That is exactly who we are: young warriors on the battlefield for our Lord, overcoming all negative strongholds and circumstances, defeating our adversary Satan with our praise, always exalting and lifting our Savior up. Understanding and realizing that even though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Corinthians 10:3-4).
Here at N.E.W. Youth Ministries, we are building a long-lasting legacy that will continue to be built upon. Therefore, we teach and demonstrate how to put on the full armor of God found in Ephesians so that we might be able to stand in the face of adversity and proclaim the name of the Lord.
